When I had the idea to travel to Tanzania to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro, I thought it would be a shame to go all the way down there and only climb the mountain. The actual trip that I booked started with a safari in several Tanzanian parks, and then it transitioned to Kilimanjaro. After this portion of the trip ended, I planned on traveling to Kenya to visit Anjuna Kalsi, The Smile Train’s Regional Director of Africa, in Nakuru, and then to the Metropolitan Hospital, a Smile Train partner in Nairobi. I left a couple extra days at the end to see where I ended up.

Though I have tried to be fairly concise in my trip report, I really wanted to give some background to the pictures. I have included the entire trip report, inserting pictures and videos throughout. I realize that some people may not be interested in the entire trip, so I have broken the report into sections to make it easier for you to find what interests you.
